Analysing the Impact of Naira Redesign on Indigenous SMEs in Abuja Strategies for Resilience Through Economics Education and Performance Counselling

Abstract
The study analysed the impact of naira redesign on indigenous SMEs in Abuja: strategies for resilience through economic education and performance counselling. This study adopted a descriptive research design. The design involved collecting data via questionnaires. The target population of the study was 100 workers from indigenous SMEs in Abuja, Nigeria. Therefore, the study used the correlation and regression method to analyse the hypothesis. The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between the effect of the naira redesign and the performance of indigenous SMEs in Abuja, Nigeria; there is a significant relationship between the negative effect of naira redesign and the performance of indigenous SMEs in Abuja, Nigeria, and also, the redesigning of the naira has been effective in encouraging the growth of indigenous SMEs in Abuja, Nigeria. It was concluded that this policy will have more negative than positive effects on indigenous SMEs in Abuja, Nigeria. The research recommends that government and private organisations should organise workshops, seminars, and sessions to educate small business owners about financial literacy, including digital payment systems and financial planning. And that they should offer counselling sessions focusing on operational and financial restructuring, among several others.
